It is recommended that any external hardwood door must be protected from exposure to direct sun and rain. This is usually achieved by a porch, recess or overhang of a minimum of 1.5 metres. If this precaution is not observed, the performance and appearance of the door will not be satisfactory.

Engineered construction and are made from component parts that are aimed at improving the performance of the finished article.

The door must be stored dry and flat. The door must be treated prior to hanging. It is most important that top and bottom edges are fully treated before the door is hung. Both faces and all four edges as well as any "cut outs" (e.g. letterboxes) and the end grain must be also fully treated.

Trimming: Up to 6mm on each side which must be reduced equally from both sides.
